Just before writing this post, I was doing my night skincare routine and randomly thought that it would take me quite a long time to finish my Missha FTE because I only need a small amount every time. I have the 150ml bottle which I consider to be a lot in comparison to the Cosrx Galactomyces 95 at 100 ml. Naturally, I checked on the expiry date so I’ll know when to lay it off.
I have the original formulation and it only has the date of manufacture at the bottom (I don’t know if the new one has an expiry date though).

I assume D14n12 is the batch number and 20140417 is the date of manufacture.

April 17, 2014. Am I right? This bottle is more than 2 years old. Is it still safe to use this on my skin??

I didn’t have any allergic reactions or irritations so I guess it’s still okay, but better safe than sorry! With urgency, I googled for the shelf life of the Missha FTE which led me to this Asian Beauty reddit post. Seriously, Asian Beauty reddit is a blessing. Thank you to everyone devoting their time and effort in making this world a better place, one skincare product at a time. For those who are too lazy to click on the link, it says that Missha products have a shelf life of a good 3-4 years. What a relief! It also led me to http://checkcosmetic.net/ which is a cosmetic and perfume batch code analyzer, according to the website. Very helpful especially for skincare and makeup junkies, no?

Just to be sure, I entered the batch code of what I have and the result is:

Glad to know that I won’t be needing an essence for another year! Well, probably a year and a half because I still have the Cosrx Galactomyces 95 to finish as well.
